Frequently Asked Questions

During a therapy session you and I will consider issues that have brought you to therapy, which may include talking about life events past and present, ways of thinking about those events and patterns of behaviour. I will help you resolve your difficulties or find a better way of coping.

Therapy is not advice giving or persuasion prejudiced to my point of view, nor is it a friendly chat to discuss the weeks events as you would with a friend.

Cost per session starts at £55. 

Payments are made 24 hours in advance of the therapy session via bank transfer to my Starling Business account or in by cash.

Each session lasts 1 hour.

I required that you give 24 hours notice of any cancellations, sessions cancelled after then will be charged at the full rate. I understand there are times when it's not possible to give the required notice, I will use my discretion where appropriate. 

Therapy is confidential which is essential to the therapeutic relationship. There are exceptions to this which will be explained at our first meeting.

At my office on the Lisburn Road, online or a prearranged therapeutic space.

I hold professional liability insurance with Howden Insurance Brokers

As a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) i am governed by and adhere to their code of ethics.
